Intro
TouchTunes is a social jukebox and entertainment company that provides music and interactive experiences in bars, restaurants, and other social venues. Founded in 1998, the company offers digital music systems that allow users to select and play songs through touchscreen interfaces and mobile applications.
Details
I was leading the design of the TV entertainment platform features to promote the TouchTunes mobile app, encourage customers to engage with the jukebox system and provide fun and personalized experiences, while increasing business revenue.

Features included: Attract Mode, Song Dedication, Interactive Trivia, Top DJ Voting, and App Promotions.
Story
8:00pm
The system starts showing advertisements on TV screens in the bar in Attract Mode, drawing people’s attention. Bar advertisements and a social feed are displayed on TV screens as part of the current TouchTunes system.
8:10pm
Some people are watching advertisements when Interactive Trivia starts, drawing the attention of other people in the bar.

Customers can participate in the Interactive Trivia questions that appear on TV screens, using the TouchTunes mobile app. Correct answers can be awarded with credits, bar promotions, or other prizes. 

The correct answer will be shown only in the app, which will motivate people to install the app. Winners can be shown on TV screens, which will motivate users to stay engaged.

The Interactive Trivia feature can be used to have “Trivia” nights. The score of users participating can be shown on-screen to promote competition.
9:30pm
A birthday party arrives at the bar. Someone from the group sees the Song Dedication advertisement on the TV screen and decides to dedicate a birthday song to Ann, who is celebrating her birthday today.

Customers can use credits to dedicate songs to TouchTunes users or other people in the bar just by name. 

Customers can use credits to add personalized touches with custom messages, by adding photos and animations. If the venue is using a HARMAN's lighting system, customers can add a light show to the dedication.
10:30pm
More customers are engaging with the system, triggering App Promotions to be displayed on TV screens.

Customers can earn free or discounted credits by identifying a song that is being played, or during special promo events.
11:30pm
The Top DJ user walks into the bar and begins playing their songs. Some people want to become Top DJ in this bar too and earn special rewards, so they start playing songs using TouchTunes and encouraging their friends to vote for them.

When the Top DJ walks into the bar, the TV will show a notification. 

Customers can send likes for the songs or DJs that are currently playing, and the TouchTunes user that plays songs with the most likes will be displayed as the “Top DJ” of that location.

Top DJ’s can receive awards, badges, or free songs.

TV screens can show a list of the “DJ competition”, which will motivate users to stay engaged.
Results
With the new features like Interactive Trivia and App Promotions, TouchTunes is attracting existing and new users to get and use the app and start playing songs. The Song Dedication feature provides a personalized and fun experience for customers. And the Top DJ feature creates a fun competition between customers to become the top DJ in that location.

These new features give users an unparalleled entertainment experience and fun at the venue they are visiting, while increasing additional revenue for the venue from all credits spent by the users.
