Intro
In the last few years I spend quite some time learning Adobe After Effects to create procedurally generated visual effects. And throughout my career as a Senior UX Designer I have created numerous animations for websites, services, desktop and mobile apps. These experiences gave me the required knowledge base and skills for this project.

Collaboration with a Portland, OR based artist Katie Preston was a wonderful experience. I was able to see and feel the nature, and wildlife through her paintings, and artworks. During the collaboration I helped Katie to bring those well-captured wildlife moments to life for her YouTube and Twitch channels, as well as some procedurally generated VFX and animated overlays for her Twitch channel.
Process
Using Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop and Procreate app on iPad as my main tools I animated a few of Katie's paintings and created introduction videos for her Twitch and YouTube channels.

A slightly shorter, simple intro animation was created for Katie's YouTube channel.

I created themed animations and procedurally generated visual effects for her Twitch channel, such as: Christmas lights, falling snow, sparkles, confetti cannon, light show party. All visual effects could be easily triggered with a press of a button on Elgato Stream Deck at the right moment to entertain viewers, increase viewers engagement and overall experience.

I used Adobe After Effects as a main animation tool, Adobe XD as a quick sketching tool, and Adobe Photoshop for anything else. All animations were exported as WebM videos with transparent backgrounds.

Using my Adobe Illustrator and Adobe XD skills I helped to refine Twitch emotes originally created by Katie Preston in Adobe Photoshop.
